We are happy to announce that Chabhi has been updated to v1.1. There are some internal bug fixes but major feature additions are
- System wide search.
- Backup of your chabhi database. Files are saved in e:\data\chabhi.
Next up, we are trying to give an easy way to import your data into chabhi. We are trying to make a CSV parser using which you can import data from other password management apps like Roboform or Lastpass.
What other features would you like to have?
We just finished Chabhi 1.0 . It is now available on Ovi Store. We have made a lot of usability and interaction enhancements and changes in this build.
- We have added 5 type of keys now
- Internet Banking
- Financial Info
- Bank Account
- Secure Note.
We find these to be the most commonly used keys. However, if there is a card you think will be good for us to add then please let us know in comments.
All your info is encrypted and cannot be used anywhere else, other then your device. We assure you about that. Even if you loose your phone, the files cannot be used to find your password.
Here are some screenshots.
Chabhi is a Password, Secure note and financial information manager app for Symbian currently under development. It is designed by Saurav Srivastava and developed by Ravi Vagadia.
We encrypt all your info saved in the phone. Only you have access to it.
In case you forget your master password, recovery is easy with a simple “Known password” approach.
The interface follows native Symbian Belle UI guidelines. We have used default Qt components for Symbian with modification for our needs where required.
You can download and test it yourself. For compatibility reasons, this test build has no encryption. Beta builds will have encryption.
We will be updating this blog as our development progresses. I recommend either subscribing to our RSS feed or bookmarking this page.
